A survey conducted by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry found that 99.7% of adults believe it’s socially important to have a healthy smile. Given this, it may be surprising to learn that just 50% of adults visit their dentist every six months. One of the reasons for this may be because they feel nervous, anxious, or are otherwise afraid of visiting the dentist. Over time, this can potentially lead to a decline in oral health.

According to recent reports, many people either forget to brush their teeth or don’t brush them as often as recommended. One in ten adults, for example, reported that they forgot to brush their teeth on a regular basis. It’s recommended that people should brush their teeth at least twice a day, especially after eating.
